I was telling my story as a TRIO Alumni at the Virginia Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel Annual Conference and a colleague came up to me and said, “You should really write a book and tell your story”. I was a little taken aback because who would want to read a book about another white man. So here it is, a blog with what is hopefully a different perspective and some information along the way.
